Beverley Cornwell is a photographer and video artist and a recent graduate of the Photographic Art BA(hons) degree course at the University of Wales, Newport (2012). Beverley is also a member of the Royal Photographic Society and gained her Licentiateship distinction (LRPS) in 2010. Images shown on 'Burning Lens' consist of photographic work created while working towards her degree and LRPS qualification.
Beverley has chosen to use a variety of approaches throughout her artwork and these include video installations and web based projects alongside more traditional digital and analogue camera techniques.
Having originally started out in photography using 35mm film before switching to a digital SLR camera, Beverley has chosen to return to using film for the majority of her time during her degree course and now prefers to shoot with a variety of Large Format, Medium Format and 35mm cameras. Beverley also continues to use a 5d MarkII digital SLR to create thought provoking videos and to capture images more suited to this medium.
